My Healing Journey

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." This summer I suffered a severe mental breakdown that put me in behavioral health hospital for a little over a week.  The quote above was written outside my door.  This had been building for the past decade or two and our present conditions made the perfect storm for everything to burst open.  It was a sinking feeling when my primary care physician looked at me and said, "There's nothing more I can do to help you."  She told my friend who had taken me to see her that morning to take me directly to Behavioral Health Hospital on Billingsly, don't go home to get anything, don't stop on the way.  She told me based on all I had spilled to her that I didn't have time, that I could only go on a few more months in the condition I was in mentally. I was assessed by many doctors and nurses.  I had to strip, searched and put on scrubs to make sure ...

Sing a New Song!

"I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God ; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord." -Psalm 40:1-3 Where do I start? I've been saved for 10 years but have not been living in that new nature God gave me, or claiming all the new things He had for me. Instead I continued in my selfish ...

Forgiveness- Just Do It!

How many Bible studies do you need to take before you can get it through your head that you just might need to put some action to what you learn in those Bible Studies? I'm not bashing Bible Studies, and I'm not judging or bashing you. They are great, and you are great, but when you keep "learning" the same stuff then comes time to do it, you freak out and put yourself back on the prayer list. The majority of us know a lot, it's just the doing it part. One thing about Jesus in his ministry here on Earth he required people to take action if they wanted healing or a miracle. Take the story of Lazarus for example: Jesus told Mary and Martha to roll the stone away from the grave.... Not that kind of rolling stone, HAHA! Sorry, couldn't resist. Rock on my fellow rockers! \m/ >. Grab your Bible and turn to John 11:39-44: Jesus was like, you want to see some action? You start, show me your faith. I love Jesus, he cracks me up at times reading the gospels...
