About Living Above the Sun Ministries

Colossians 3:1-4 The Message
So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.
Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too—the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ.

Vision & Mission of the Ministry:
Equipping all generations through the encouragement of music, photography, teaching, and literature to set our eyes on Christ that we may find purpose and spiritual prosperity in the plans the Lord set before us. With the perspective of living to seek the Kingdom first, no longer living for the World, but for the glory of Christ who is our Savior to this higher calling.

Birthed in 2012

From a young age I was always amazed with the story of Solomon in his request for wisdom upon the Lord asking him what he wanted. I admired that! I wanted to be that way. So I decided in my child like faith that I would ask the Lord for wisdom too. And He has given me wisdom, discernment, and understanding.
The thorn in my side though in life has been a struggle with depression and suicidal intentions and thoughts. Life held no meaning for me. So as Solomon I set out on a philosophical quest for reason in life. The Lord has given me a mind that loved reason, and the more intellectual analytical way of thinking. When God began radically changing my life a few years ago I started to build my life around Ecclesiastes, my pastor at the time was preaching through a series of this book. During the several months I began to see life as living above the sun as opposed to under the sun. This ministry is something God truly gave me. I became excited in this new way of thinking and living....I found Jesus in what can seem to be the dark pages of the Bible.
One thing is true and remains that anything I do here under the sun, if I commit it to the Lord, that's what makes it meaningful. Even if I get squeezed for every penny I have, that's not what its about...it all vanishes anyway. If I can just strive to build a life of faithfulness, and acquiring the knowledge and wisdom God has given me the desire to know....to do Kingdom work and being the handmaiden to the Bride...that's what lasts. Solomon didn't get much out of being rich, I don't get much out of squeaking by, but the same is true for both the rich and poor man, It's all the Lords, He's the only breath we have, and there will never be vanity in worship.
