A Thrill of Hope -- Advent

"...Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new glorious morn! Fall on your knees..." Do you need some hope breathed into your night? I know I do. This world we spin on, it can make us dizzy. We turn one way, then another; help this person, punch the clock. News stories flash across our screens that leave us breathless at times. Shootings, kidnappings, misbehavior, fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding. It leaves us so weary. Our hearts and mouths shout out to God. Help us! Where are you?! The weight of this world is too much. Over 2,000 years ago, there was a sigh of relief as Jesus let out His first cry. The world weary looking for Messiah to offer peace and hope. The thrill of a newborn baby...the hope of new life. The pure and innocent boy who captured the hearts of all who laid eyes on his fragile body. Angels lit up the night sky along with the star that guided the way to Him. A
