Thank You

Lately I've become more sensitive to the fact of how important it is to thank people. When they do something for us, or you observe them doing something nice for others. Many times the hardest workers are not thanked nearly enough, or told they are appreciated. So I would challenge you to start thanking people...I've been doing this more lately. Sometimes we need to stop a minute and take everything around us in, noticing what others are doing and if they need encouragement. So go ahead make someones day a little happier and express your thankfulness toward them for what they do. Remember to always thank our Heavenly Father too! Thank Him for this person who works so hard, or does something nice for you. God needs to hear Thank You from us as well. So on that note.... Thank you for reading this blog and post! :) And Thank you God for the gift of writing and the people who take time to read my little posts that come from my heart through You.

The Heart of Worship

When the music fades And all is stripped away And I simply come Longing just to bring Something that's of worth That will bless your heart I'll bring You more than a song For a song in itself Is not what You have required You search much deeper within Through the ways things appear You're looking into my heart I'm coming back to the heart of worship And it's all about You All about You, Jesus I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it When it's all about You It's all about You Jesus King of endless worth No one could express How much You deserve Though I'm weak and poor All I have is Yours Every single breath I'll bring You more than just a song For a song in itself Is not what You have required You search much deeper within Through the way things appear You're looking into my heart I'm coming back to the heart of worship And it's all about You All about You, Jesus I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it When it's all...

Love is all You Need

I've been reading this great book by Henry and Melvin Blackaby called "A God Centered Church: Experiencing God Together." I have read 2 chapter and I have learned so much about the Christian life and Salvation in a new light. I believe every Christian needs to read this book. The second chapter of this book really got to me, it's about God's love expressed. The word Koinoina is used through out this chapter to describe Love. Koinoina is the anglicisation of a Greek word that means communion by intimate participation. The word is used frequently in the New Testament of the Bible to describe the relationship within the early Christian Church as well as the act of breaking bread in the manner which Christ prescribed during the Passover meal [John 6:48-69, Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 Corinthians 11:24]. As a result the word is used within the Christian Church to participate, as Paul says, in the Communion of - in this manner it identifies the idealise...

Heart in the Sky

Image
Today driving back from Tennessee, storm clouds were coming in. I looked in the sky and there was a heart!! Do you see it? God wanted to tell me He loved me, and I know He does but he's so good to us that He likes to create little reminders. I love going home to Tennessee. I always feel so sad when I come back to Charlotte after leaving, but soon I get back in the routine of things. It sure is special to go to my Grandmama's house; I have to many special memories. There is so much love in her house, so much to learn, so much to be thankful for.

Another Sleepless Night

So it's 1:53AM here right now, and it's been another night of tossing and turning. I can't sleep. I've not been taking my medicine like I should but, I think my sleeplessness is more than anxiety and not taking my meds. HAHA. I get so Burdened about things at night. I get to thinking about my age group, and all the young people who are unreached. I think about my church and how I wish so many things would happen. God gives me visions and dreams at night and I can't get them out of my head. I can't turn my mind off!! I often feel like it's a war between good and evil every night. I don't know. I get so pumped up about stuff, and I can't shake the feeling. Everything inside of me wants to explode. Explode toward what? I don't know, everybody!! Christians, where are you? I can't find you in this world! You don't stick out like Jesus wants us too. Churches, where are you? You're not reaching me!! I need you. I have be...

Life is Precious

Image
Most everyday I am reminded of how precious life is. We are not promised tomorrow, the next hour, or even the next minute. I have grieved family members deaths, friends deaths, and although I should rejoice that they are in a much better place; I miss them in my life. Most of my early teen years and even some in my adult life I remember not wanting to live. But when I go to bed at night and think, I take a step back, and I look at my life. I ponder all that God has brought me through, all the awesome people he has put in my life, all the opportunities He has blessed me with. I wouldn't miss what I have right now for the world. I try to let all the people I love know just how much they mean to me. I want them to know my life has never been the same since God placed them there. I want to hug them as much as possible. I want to keep learning and gleaning wisdom from them. Most importantly, I would hope that above all, my friends know Jesus Christ as their Savior. That I don...

Are you Listening?

Job 37 1-13 "Whenever this happens, my heart stops— I'm stunned, I can't catch my breath. Listen to it! Listen to his thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of his voice. He lets loose his lightnings from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole. In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, powerful and majestic. He lets out all the stops, he holds nothing back. No one can mistake that voice— His word thundering so wondrously, his mighty acts staggering our understanding. He orders the snow, 'Blanket the earth!' and the rain, 'Soak the whole countryside!' No one can escape the weather—it's there. And no one can escape from God. Wild animals take shelter, crawling into their dens, When blizzards roar out of the north and freezing rain crusts the land. It's God's breath that forms the ice, it's God's breath that turns lakes and rivers solid. And yes, it's God who fills clouds with rainwa...
