Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk!
"Whoever claims to live in Him, must walk as Jesus did." -1 John 2:6
This is a verse that has impacted my life since memorizing it 2 years ago. It brings back the little children's song:
"Oh, be careful little eyes what you see, Be careful little ears what you hear, For the Father up above is looking down in love." That's the main jist of the song.
If you're going to claim Jesus, and put on your facebook or car that you are a Jesus follower you had better live like it. I know sometimes that is hard when you are driving, trust me I have my moments as well. Do you post something about Jesus one minute then the next status up date you are telling people to F*** off, and go to Hell? What is that saying to a lost world? Do you realize that you are the closest thing lost people will ever know of Jesus? And not only does your facebook, and driving honor Jesus, but do your thoughts?
How did Jesus walk? Read the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Jesus is an encourager, He's a lover, He's a giver, He forgives...the list can go on and on. Why do you think Jesus lived on this earth 33 years? If the only reason He came was to die, then He could have come around breakfast time, died, then back in Heaven by Supper time 3 days later. Jesus came to give His followers (us) an example to live by. He came to show the World what Love really is. He came to teach, and change lives. He came to love those who aren't loved. He came to show how Mighty, and Powerful, His Father is.
You want to change the world? What does your heart look like? What does your mouth say? What does your mind think? What do your ears hear? Where do your feet go? What do your eyes see? I'm not saying God can't use you, but if you're going to live for Jesus....LIVE FOR JESUS! Completely, fully, surrendered 100% to Jesus. If you're going to go tell others about Him, live like Him!
