Buttprints in the Sand

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.

But then some strange prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
"But Lord, they are too big for feet."

"My child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you along.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."

"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know,
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped you on your butt."

"Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand."

WOW! Very inspirational. How true this is! You know it's true. There is nothing wrong with Jesus carrying you, but I do believe there comes a time when we do have to grow in our faith, and learn. It's just like a baby growing into a toddler then to a pre-teen (God help us), then teenager on to adulthood. They have to learn to walk, and when they do you have to let them fall. That's how they learn, that how they grow strong. Now granted I hope you wouldn't just drop your kid on the floor and be like walk kid! When you put a child down their legs and feet automatically stretch out until they feel solid ground. Jesus is going to set us on solid ground. On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand, all other ground is sinking sand! When we walk and strengthen our faith and mature in the Lord, He's going to be cheering us on. He will never leave or forsake us, but he will push and challenge us.
So if your facing something difficult right now in your life, look at it as a chance to grow your faith, and mature in your relationship with Jesus. If He wants to put you down, let Him!! Climb that mountain with Jesus leading you. You can do it!!
