Snow

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool."

Isaiah 1:18

It's been so beautiful to watch snow fall today. It's another Jesus clue to us about himself, and what He can and wants to do in our lives. He says to us, let me wash you and make you white as snow. Snow from heaven that covers the ground and hides the filth, all you see is a clean white perfect blanket of love.
I love how in Job, God challenges Job asking him, "Have you visited the treasuries of the snow? Have you seen where hail is made and stored? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens?

Snow is a gift. So many ways to look at snow. We can even get down to the detail of a snowflake. Every snow flake is different and unique in it's own special way. God made each snowflake. We are snowflakes if you think about it. I wish I could fall gracefully through the sky like a snowflake, and land on high on a mountain.

Thank you Jesus for the gift of snow today. Thank you for the way you remind us of yourself through it. Thank you also for the reminder of how you see us, white as snow, because we have been washed in your blood and made white as snow. We love you, Jesus.
Amen
